Addressing
Hearing Loss With Your Loved Ones
As the holidays near, many of us will be surrounded by family and
friends – some who we haven’t seen for some time. As we reminisce
and update each other on what’s been going on in our lives, most
assuredly we will notice changes in our loved ones. It may be weight
loss – or weight gain. It could be hair color – or hair loss.
The biggest changes we notice are the growth of children. Babies
start crawling and walking and talking. Older children enter school.
Children we remember being in grade school “just yesterday”
are getting ready to leave school and enter their adult lives. Click

Resolve
To Keep Your Hearing Healthy For 2005
For those of you don’t give your hearing any thought, because
you can hear just fine, make the resolution to have your hearing
tested. In most cases, hearing loss is gradual, so you may not notice
that you have hearing impairment until it becomes profound. A hearing
test will give you peace of mind for the coming year. If your hearing
is healthy, you won’t have anything to worry about. On the other
hand, if you have developed some hearing impairment, you’ll be
glad it was diagnosed early. Click

The
Magic of Hearing
I’m working on a coach training certification, and one of the “proficiencies” I’m expected to have mastered is “engages in provocative conversations.” Now, that really got me thinking. What’s a provocative conversation?
Well, the word “provocative” means that the conversation provokes something—hopefully
a reaction from the client which helps take them to another level.
The ideal response to the provocation is for the client to realize
something they didn’t know or find a solution they didn’t have
before the call. Click

When
Should Hearing Be Tested?
If you're wondering why your friends mumble when they talk to you
or when restaurants suddenly become cacophonous, frustrating places,
have your hearing tested. If your family consistently turns the
television volume down when you're through watching it, have your
hearing tested. If phone conversations are confusing or you find
yourself having to concentrate on a speaker's lips to understand
what they're saying, have your hearing tested. If you haven't had
a hearing test since high school ... have a hearing test. Click
